Lovely Resort Hotel in the Heart of Sigiriya

Sigiriya Jungles Resort & Spa is an excellent option if you wish to explore the cultural triangle and the elephant gathering in the Habarana / Minneriya area. With a sumptuous buffet breakfast with 60+ spacious rooms the friendly staff were very hospitable making for a fabulous stay with family. The Ayurveda spa provided a great massages enhancing the relaxing atmosphere at the resort. With a 2 night stay we were able to climb the spectacular Sigiriya Rock and do an elephant watching safari to Hurulu Oya Eco Park which was within close proximity to our resort. Highly recommended!

Peaceful & Beautiful Hotel

We’re just leaving this morning to go to Kandy and I am really sad to leave. It’s been one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s so peaceful and beautiful . We’ve watched families of wild monkeys, peacocks, eagles and an Indian paradise flycatcher from the comfort of the pool/ pool are. Truly amazing. The staff are brilliant, they’ve been so good with my husband’s anaphylactic peanut and nut allergy, really proactive and sought him out each night to go through food with him. The staff remember the little things like us not liking ice in the drinks and having a table by the open part of the dining area...

Authentic Luxury, Attentive & Engaging Hosts

Relaxed, open plan layout with inviting spaces, perfect for sipping an Arak cocktail. Expansive pool suits lap swimmers or gentle wading. Hotel staff were exceptional, responsive and thoughtful with small details like always assisting in pulling in the heavy dining room chairs. Acoustic guitar singer provided great ambiance at meals, just the right volume. Authentic local cuisine, we were treated to a cooking demonstration which was interactive and informative. Easy access to the many wildlife viewing and stunning temple sites. Definitely recommend, makes a nice change from the chain hotels.

Helpful Staff

The hotel garden is fantastic with some huge trees and a very interesting monkeys & peacocks. There was a really cool relaxed crowd with lots of children running around which was nice to see. Sigirya rock was amazing. The food was fresh, well presented. We also had a lovely meal, one of the best we had in Srilanka. Thanks to Chef. And my friend Mark was very nice guy to remember. Thanks to all and we love to come back.

Relaxing Jungle Stay

Nice relaxed village atmosphere, with monkeys playing around on the grounds. Great food and service.Thanks to the Executive Chef and team the food was delicious both Sri Lankan and European. Waitstaff are very attentive, a big mention Kavinda, housekeeping staff very obliging and reception staff answered all of our questions. The trip to Lion Rock was well worth the energy and effort, burn up some of those extra holiday calories. The Elephant Safari to Kaudulla Reservoir was just fantastic, so many elephants.
